Havanese LOVE paper!

True. They love to run through the house pulling one end of the running toilet paper roll, or shred any newspaper that happens to be on the floor. This almost seems to be genetic! At least once, don't be surprised if you come home to find the floor covered in schredded toilet paper. They know they shouldn't, but they just can't help it! You'll probably have more luck getting that teenager to clean his room without being told, than to get your Havanese to give up their toilet paper habit!

Havanese don't do well in cold climates.

False. Although the Havanese breed is from Cuba, they tolerate the cold weather very well. Snow eventually hangs in clumps from their ears and coat as noted in Libby's photo. Klondike and Avalanche live in Juneau, AK. They have their own winter coats and boots, and love to tobaggan with the kids. I'm told they come in with the kids with clumps of snow the size of Christmas ornaments hanging from their coat, but once they warm by the fire, and dry out, they are back at the door with the kids for another toboggan run.

Havanese are content to remain floor level.

False. The Havanese love heights. The top of the sofa back, the top of the file box, the bookshelf, a mound of dirt, the Havanese love to be above it all!
